    The GLOBAL FUND FOR WOMEN provides flexible, timely grants to women's groups around the world striving to improve women's human rights. The challenges that women face vary widely across communities, cultures, religious traditions, and countries.

 The GLOBAL FUND listens to women's groups, and supports their efforts to improve the situation of women, even when the issues they address are difficult or controversial. We also believe that the way in which we do our work is as important as what we do. This philosophy is reflected in our flexible, respectful, and responsive style of grantmaking.

NEWW's mission is to empower women and girls throughout the East (Central and Eastern Europe, and NIS and the Russian Federation) and the West by dialogue, networking, campaigns, and educational and informational exchanges.
NEWW supports action and joint projects inspired by feminist principles.

    United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM)

UNIFEM's Mission

UNIFEM promotes women's empowerment and gender equality. It works to ensure the participation of women in all levels of development planning and practice, and acts as a catalyst within the UN system, supporting efforts that link the needs and concerns of women to all critical issues on the national, regional and global agendas. UNIFEM focuses its work at the country level within the context of the United Nations Resident Coordinator System. Playing a strong advocacy role, the Fund concentrates on fostering a multilateral policy dialogue on women's empowerment.

• Grounded in the vision of equality of the United Nations Charter, the Division advocates the improvement of the status of women of the world and the achievement of their equality with men. It aims to ensure the participation of women as equal partners with men in all aspects of human endeavour. It promotes women as equal participants and beneficiaries of sustainable development, peace and security, governance and human rights. It strives to stimulate the mainstreaming of a gender perspective both within and outside the United Nations system.

    Commission on the Advancement of Women (CAW)

The Commission mobilized extensive involvement of InterAction members in the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, and members subsequently adopted an InterAction's "platform for action" in the form of a set of "Gender Equity Amendments " to the PVO Standards.
CAW works with other US and international NGO networks to promote implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action by governments and multi-lateral organizations.

    International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women  (INSTRAW)

The United Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women (INSTRAW) is the only institution in the United Nations system solely devoted to research and training for the advancement of women. Recently, INSTRAW restructed to become the only dedicated UN institution to deliver its mandate through new information and communication technologies (ICTs).
